The speed of uploading/downloading depends on many factors, being the most important the memory of your computer (maybe it's too old to upload big files) and the server itself. If many people are using the same server at the same time, then this may bring its speed down. This forum has tested several servers before and believe me, the ones on the server list at the top of the page are those who work better for most of the members of this forum.

If Savefile works too slow on your computer, you could try other allowed servers, which are contained on the list put at the top of this page. Those are, besides savefile: quicksharing.com, verzend.be, yourfilelink, swoopshare, filesend.net and skatingvideoclips. You can only use them, and not other servers.

Personally, the one that works better for me is verzend.be but again, it depends on the speed of your own computer and the server itself.

Your upload speed always depends on the file size and the internet connection you have...so it's not so easy to say how long exacly we need to upload a file...

And the allowed servers you can find at the top of the pages in the blue bars when you scroll up every page...right under the huge pic 'Skating Vieos'

You may think it's an imposition to take 1 hr 18 mins to upload one video, but let me tell you, that's how long it sometimes takes those who make the videos on this forum to upload their work for you to enjoy!!!!!!!! Many times in reposting I've found it takes over TWO HOURS.

If you so desparately want access to the Grand Prix events of this season, then you must be prepared to take the time to provide links and reposts.

....not only to gain fsvids status, but to maintain it.

Of course you are allowed to repost videos made by somebody else. You do not have to make some on your own from your archive.

So I've uploaded 3 vids and wanted to check to see how long it normally takes to get 'approval' to get access to the 2007/06 Grand Prix section

Also here is patience the key, we get now about 30-40 requests a day and that takes some time to review, sorry.

I have uploaded three videos but i don't know where to pm you. they are josee chouinard moonriver, michelle kwan's greensleeves, and this use to be my playground. Also i don't know if i uploaded them right.

Two ways to pm someone. Underneath their post there is a button that says "PM". You can also click their name and go to their profile and under "communicate" you will see "personal message"

You need to upload three videos in any of the forums.
These videos could be your own, or downloaded from here. You could upload upon request (check on the forums which vids are requested for reposting) or randomly, without the need of a request, in the skater/competition forum.

Example:
If you have previously downloaded Plushenko's Carmen program, performed at the 2002 Olympic Games, then:
1) you upload the video again on any of the allowed servers, which are listed at the top of this page, in the skyblue boxes. After uploading, you will get a link.
2) Publish this link in either the Evgeny Plushenko forum, or the 2002 Olympics forum.

You need to make that process three times, with three different vids.
After doing it, send a message (PM or mail) to the administrator (LLOS) asking the access to the restricted area.
